March 18, 2025 (Peoria, AZ) — Desert Dreams F.C. — Arizona’s new Women’s Premier Soccer League team — is seeking to include top women’s soccer players locally in its inaugural season roster. This decision further confirms the team’s commitment to allocating a certain number of roster spots focused on providing player development opportunities for Arizona-based players in the early stages of their career.
Specifically, the team announced today it will be holding an open tryout on Saturday, April 12th at Peoria Sports Complex’s main stadium field (currently serving as the Cactus League home for both the San Diego Padres & Seattle Mariners).

“I know first-hand there are lots of talented local players of all ages and past experience levels — and I am excited to provide this platform for them to showcase their current ability and potentially join our inaugural season roster,” said Desert Dreams F.C. Head Coach Alan Berrios. “This open tryout provides a truly unique equal opportunity for local players to show us if they belong in the Women’s Premier Soccer League.”
Player registration fee is $50 and includes a free ticket to the team’s home opener.
